I was recently in an adaption of Shakespeare’s ‘Henry V’ which pairs Shakespeare’s play with excerpts from interviews of modern day veterans (Vietnam, Afghanistan, undeployed, etc.). Through research and rehearsal I learned a lot about King Henry V and the history surrounding his reign, as well the countless perspectives of war. Although the play was without political agenda and more so explored the general spirit of war, it opened my mind to so many ideas outside of myself. My experience in this production was incredible and the lessons I grasped will stick with me forever. In ink. Beneath my skin. // Designed and tattooed by @heartthompson (at Hopeless Ink Tattoo)

I’m not even gonna say anything about it being a straight edge tattoo, because it’s anyone’s choice to claim or break edge or whatever (as long as they don’t try claiming edge again after already breaking it). But that looks realllllly nasty, and painful. Wtffff.
