"True Love" | Angels & Airwaves

"The snow has come down on top of everything. The town is alive and well without you. The lights, they peer out of the leafless trees. And you won’t be alone, I am beside of you….

….True love. The stars in the sky illuminate below. The light is a sign that love will guide you home.”

Day 03- A song that reminds you of one/both of your parents

"Have You Ever Been In Love" by Celine Dion

My parents adore Celine, especially my mom (I got my love for Celine from her) and this is one of my parents “songs” (you know how couples are suppose to have a “song”?? Well my parents have like 100 of those).

I watched them dance to this song when they renewed their vows for their 25th anniversary. TRUE LOVE IS POSSIBLE and I won’t settle for anything less than what I see between my mother and father every day of my life. True Love.

Don’t Forget It

"She’s thirsty, so thirsty. Would someone please fetch her a drink of something?

Her hearts so dry and it shows no sign of raining here…there’s so much pain in here.

Let it out.

And I swear to you, you’ve yet to know true love.
And I’m here to stay. I’m here to say, ‘I’ll wait…’

The closer it gets to tracking you down, the better you get at hiding.
You’re buried beneath the roses you use to wear in your hair…

…and now I’m digging you up (I’m digging you up), I know I’m getting hotter.

…I’m finding your bones (I’m finding your bones), I know they require water.

I’ll blow you this kiss to bust through your ribcage, and wring out the clouds the rinse away the blood stains.

You have a voice that could light up the world, so open your mouth and sing.

Those flickering eyes are learning to shine, and striking a match in kerosene.

And I swear to you, you’ve yet to know true love.
And I’m here to stay. I’m here to say, ‘I’ll wait…’”
